If you love Mt Pleasant to you may have prints made for yourself or as for gifts for friends n relatives.

 You may use any of my pics to have photos or enlargements made.
I have had a few 20x30 enlargements made.

The format of dslrs is 4x6 With out cropping multiply the short side by 1.5  (with out cropping)

If you have canvas enlargements made, part of the pics might be wrapped along the edges. Look for that option.

Many of my pics are copied and posted, that is fine and dandy, I just don't wish for people to profit from pics I have taken and publish as public domain photos.

Sometimes I am asked for originals I took and with a bit of research I can find them..

I have seen photos like mine printed into enlargements and sold for hundreds of dollars.  The difference in mine I guess is like the difference in a dandelion and a flower. Dandelions being a weed because they are free.

Vincent Van Gogh,  Pablo Picasso,  Leonardo Da Vinci what makes em so great. It has nothing to do with their 'art' but with who did the painting.
Leonardo had one girl for his subject.. I have had bunches 😋

In the future how will you know if I was 'the great photographer' who took a photo. Companies like Google now have an option to 'find similar pics' It works pretty good but will get better.

If you find a photo that looks just like mine and one of them is on one of my blogs, look for the date it was posted. Check to see which was first. 😏

The resolution is included on these pages to help figure how grainy a pic would be at different sizes.

Late thoughts added here

Unless they love a place, few will have an enlargement made to mount on their walls at home. Such are displayed in exhibits .

In some office with unknown pics like this, who would notice em ?

Duh, what are they thinking. Ever go into a bank, public place.. office, hospital and see photos of some unknown place on their wall. I am guessing very few people notice them.. BUT if it is an iconic place .. for that area, I would guess those photos would spark lots of conversations. Try it.

Arthritis making it a bit hard, I planned to make a symbolic "last" walk to Mt Pleasant in June 2023 (80th bd) but my photographer assistant has osteosarcoma and have not climbed to the top since her BD

I have decided to have my favorite photos printed into enlargements and have donated a few.

I have been on the internet since the 80s and have seen big sites that vanished. I figure Google will be here longer than a tootsie roll. You can use pics from this blog and I will look for other places on Google where my pics r stored

8x12 Walmart glossy 8x12 photo  <> Walmart Frames, these frames look ok but might need a drop of epoxy (for plastic) glue in the corners to secure them Assembly

WARNING this Walmart  glass will break easy. Cold / Hot

Figure where you will mount it and find a stud, what ever to fasten it to.
Before inserting your photo remove the glass and position the frame as if you were gonna hang it. IF it is good place the pic n glass in the frame n do it.

If you are creating a pic for someone special, buy a good frame.

Pics with frames cost me about $16 together the last time. Of course I have spent lots of trips and hours to capture and select ones that I would use. Other than the pics I dabbled with photoshop to make them unique.

In the batch I am putting together I added one of my old cards with my two pups on it, signed it on back and glued a bit of Kookie's fur. 

In the last years I have been on Mt. Pleasant with out a camera but have never been there with one of my photo assistant pups with me.

If I remember I will take some in town when I go to the park, if you want to create your own you can use my pshop images or I can look for the untouched originals.

Growing up there were some people I thought were cool.. football players, doctors n firemen I suppose. 
Ansel Adams n Norman Rockwell later.
The thought that pops up is Rockwell in front of a canvas painting pics of animals and people.
There are such 'artist' who have their subjects pose for a looooong time (trying not to move)
But Norman Rockwell used a camera, had a dark room and assistants to create his works.

From those photos he worked on much of the 'paintings' we see.

I have only had two photo assistants. They would wag their tails and introduce me to visitors I could ask to photograph.

When I came home to my studio, my brushes consisted of digital imaging software.

As for the content of my images, Mount Pleasant is like that Rockwell used for his inspiration. Endearing scenes that pass quickly but are captured to be visited and shared again,

Commemoration

Lots of time I take ordinary or even bad pics. Sometimes I get lucky and be in the right place at the right time.

Sometimes I think of something of the past or coming in the future.
I had a good week of taking some great photos. I knew this night was the 10th year anniversary of the great loss.

I didn't have the tripod but wanted to capture this beauty in a commemoration photo.

I was taking PuppyDog to Mt P that day and the roads were blocked. I parked in the alley someone took a pic of the helecoptor and captured us on the sidewalk.  
I visit Drew's family through my facebook window from time to time.

With Kookie's bum leg I have just been taking pics from below. These pups were doing a photoshoot.. n me thinking the fun of being in this stage of life.

Cruising sounds

Riding around on the weekends and listening to the radio was cool when I was a pup. There were lots of songs about cars.

I like music from the generations that came after me but I don't remember many songs about drag racing .. cruising around with your pals.
What ever your generation .. if they were still riding around beeping their horns n surfing through drive ins, what songs would your pals be playing?

What to do when the sun goes down in Lancaster Ohio

When I was a pup I always wanted a roaster but only got to ride to the drive inns with pals, till I grew up (kinda) n bought something like it :)

In 2020 during the virus caper someone called for a cruse in and the parking lots were full of people hanging out like back in the day n I drove around with my pup taking pics 😋

Knowing the science of weekend cruising I did a quick paste up of a route

Not just those with cool cars were in to it but all of them were part of the ride.

Guys n girls of all ages loved the ride then and now.

How to organize ... hmmm 
*  In your school fb groups

*  Make up some flyers to share at car shows (just here in Lancaster) . to people you will know and those working there

*  Going through the ride route stopping in food places.. I would bet they would go along and have cruse night specials.

*  Car parts places, cycle shops

* There is a new food place that opened up out by the Tractor Supply... Jimmy's Drive (now a truck) they might get into it.

The red icons on the map are points of interest. To plot out a good map a ride through the route with a camera spotting places of interest where cars could stop and mingle or load up on food.

Some of the places along the route are parking lots to mingle.. places to get gas (those stations might put up flyers)

Me thinking what a fun thing to bring back for all generations and the kids who only saw it in the movies.

It was not just fun for guys with cool cars, but all the rest of us had great fun hanging out .

I'll bet one of the radio stations would jump in and take the roll of wolf man jack.. well kind of  😋

I don't know who got the event started (the mayor?) but Kookie n me was just on the way to Walmart n I thought what great pics to capture. If you know any of these guys tell em where they can copy their pics :)

Old Grandstand

 The old grandstand before it burnt down. I just added the top one because it includes the hood or the Jeep n PuppyDog was riding in the back.

When searching for images on google I see so many photos taken by others but kidnapped by some company that sells them.

I took these in 2010 riding around the fairgrounds, the hood of my yellow jeep.. kind of like a finger print.  So if you get em from me or copy them from blog you know you have free rights to print em.
After things are gone they acquire importance I guess .. so 

I had a couple 12x18 pics made that did not come out too bad. (about $9.00 each and the frames about $7.00 each. .. $16.00 per pic)
These frames are not great.. Figure where you are gonna hang them , get a secure frame. If it will be in a medical place figure how the area can be cleaned.
I added my logo at the bottom to some (footprints) there are originals in my hard drive ocean. 😶

DSC00023p.JPG has the moon n best color saturation. 

After places or things are lost, it seems they gain great importance 😊. There will be lots of pics popping up in the future .. copies of copies.. from some unknown person. These pics were taken while riding around the fairgrounds with PuppyDog riding in the back of the Jeep.. (originals) 😋

I wonder who the person standing on top was 👀

The covered bridge there, someone burned it also. I think this is the bridge I remember from a long time ago. Me riding on the back of my brother's wizard motor bike going to get eggs from some guy my dad knew.

Sometimes I come here when there are no others or stay after everyone is gone. 11/26/2022 I got to take a pics of a couple just leaving and stayed for a bit and spotted the tree from the lights below n n the city lights sparkling in the background .

To the right a tree. Day after day after Thanksgiving guess I will call this one, Natural Christmas Tree with Kookie. You could add text n have holiday cards printed.
